Make sure you give formal invitations plenty of time ahead, about a month or more, so that you give guests time to RSVP and yourself time to arrange all the dining places, furniture, and catering to accomodate the numbers.

Less formal affairs may not require so much time, it is up to you as the organiser to give yourself the time you'll need, just so you don't stress yourself out :) Be kind to the kind person that is going to all the effort of putting it all together!

Every year schools and colleges organise annual day functions and farewell parties. Each day we see the sunrise and sunset. Light always fades to darkness and darkness gives way to new sparkling sunshine in the morning. That’s the rule of the world and today we are also riding a similar roller coaster of emotions.

Today we are gathered here to celebrate the time seniors spent in the school. Though their time at this school is finishing, the same day also welcoming them in their bright future. When I was told to deliver the vote of thanks for the day. I was not sure how two words “thank”, “you” will help me to express what I think about this institution and the seniors; experiences, guidance and the F=friendship they shared with us all. Still, I will try my best.

I would like to take this moment to thank some people wholeheartedly beginning with my teachers. Ms Sharma, I must tell you that you are my favourite teacher, we student do reckon the amount of hard work you put in to make the lectures interesting and playful. We literally wait for your classes. Because of you, a dreaded subject like math has become so simple and interesting to us.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the principal sir for making this institution one of its kind. Sir, because of your initiatives we have top-notch computers labs, we get guidance from the best of the people from the industry. Along with that, your enthusiasm for sports is incredible. You are a visionary who we are very lucky to have as our guiding star.

I would also like to thank the dignitaries for sharing their expertise and letting us know the importance of practical knowledge of the world.

I must thank this institution for shaping our future and personalities. This is not just a building of bricks and mortar, it is a sanctuary of knowledge.

Last but not the least, I would like to thank our seniors whoa are embarking upon their future journey. I would like to wish them the best in their future endeavours. I would not able to express how your guidance in competitive exams preparation helping us.
