With over 10 million downloads, is it any wonder that an X-Ray texture pack is one of the most downloaded texture packs of all time? Regardless of what that says about Minecraft players, it’s clear that this texture pack has broad appeal due to its simple purpose: unashamedly making finding ores a breeze through questionable means.
Monster blocks (silver fish blocks) have a red square on them. The texture is derived from the redstone block so that it will be compatible with most packs (if the target pack has a rather unusual redstone block the square might not be as obvious as in default) Mod compatibility: - applied energistics 2 - astromine - bno - decorative - dishes. The use of this texture pack is forbidden on most multiplayer servers, and for good reason – but of course there’s nothing wrong with using this pack in your own single-player worlds if that’s the way you prefer to play. Needless to say, this isn’t a pack you’d use all the time, as it makes the majority of blocks invisible.
It can work alongside any other texture pack you want, and in addition, doesn’t need any mods installed apart from Optifine. This makes it very convenient, if a little too convenient for players who might not have the best intentions. Regardless, it’s a good option if it’s what you want.
X-Ray Ultimate supports Minecraft Java versions ranging from 1.14 to 1.17.
